Through one- if not several- layers of glass, carefully scattered seashells, salt water droplets, photos modified through layers of filters and backlit by an ipad, and the extra layer of photographing an original photo onscreen to produce another original photo, these artworks highlight the need to see and know through layers cloaking reality.
The third series embraces the classic joy of watching fellow beach walkers. Much like the impressionist era flaneur, viewing is accompanied by perspective distortion. This series is an altered photograph of Egypt Beach.
These three series seek to share with viewers some of the essential experiences growing up on the South Shore.
